If there is one thing you need to know as you start this week, it is that there is no honor in being a photocopy/duplicate of thing or person.
Absolutely no honor, no matter the hard work you put in it.
(As the Chinese men. They are good at what they do, but will never get the same honor given to Apple or Samsung no matter how close the products created are).
Don’t live your life, looking through the glass just to mirror your life after someone else.
Even though there are many people who do what you do or want to do, you need to know that you are the only one who can do it the way you are meant to; if you take the time to put in the work.
I have been seeing pictures of Ebuka wannabes (if you know, you know.. Lol); and I have been cringing.
I cringe not because they look so terrible, but because they look ridiculous flaunting another person’s creative idea without a care.
And that’s how most of us are.
We work so hard to show that we can do what someone is else is doing or has already done (a duplicate); rather than work hard to create ours.
Once we conceive an idea, the first thing we want to do is find out who does it best, not to learn, but to copy or at most adjust their own creations.
There is no man that has made history for being better at being a copy of another man’s years of work.
You cannot outsmart nature and you cannot reap what you did not sow.
It’s a law of nature you cannot cheat.
It’s okay to spend time investing in yourself, so that you are equipped enough to be enough.
And that’s better than living a life of make-believe.
There is no fulfillment in staying in the shadow of the other person. Work on yourself so that you will be able to stand tall and stand out.
No shortcuts to success.
While God grants divine speed; he doesn’t grant it for you to repeat what another man has already done.
