This is one thing I wish I knew earlier.
I have always been a perfectionist when it comes to making decisions that will affect any tiny bit of my life.
I really do not like to leave anything to chance; and although it has helped me, it has also caged my wings.
I didn’t realize that with each step you take, clarity happens; so I would rather stay on a spot, making sure I had all the clarity needed towards a project.
(And most often, they still don’t become clear, so I will delay or throw it off).
I bless the day I realized that when I have a vision, or revelation or a plan; the only way to get super clear on exactly how it will run is when I begin to take actions.
You have to learn to take action towards the desired outcome because only then do you really know what you are to do next, or what you are not to do.
There is no way that you should sit down to plan it all, and not make a move just because it doesn’t look perfect yet.
Especially when it comes to starting a venture.
The reason why most people are the way they are, and the reason why majority of others still where they used to be is because they have decided against taking a step out of their boats until they are 100% sure.
They do not see a clear path to their destination and would rather linger on in the boat rather than take control of the situation by stepping out to make things clearer by moving closer.
While that might be good, they might also never get to start.
Isn’t it amazing how we can guess how a thing looks or someone looks from afar, but the closer we walk to it/them, we begin to notice features and see clearly what we couldn’t see from afar?
Same thing applies.
Even though you have an idea of how a certain thing should look, except you are audacious enough to get closer with planned actions, you might never know what exactly the features/risks/solutions/results are.
If you read stories of successful ‘men’, either as an entrepreneur or as a career person, you find out that there was a point in their lives that they didn’t know exactly how things would turn out, but they knew what they wanted to see; so they took the steps.
There is no better way to say it, and although I feel like I am beginning to repeat my words; by carving different sentences, I just really hope someone gets this message today.
The planning stage is good, but it remains a ‘plan’.
You have planned on paper for the past years, it is time to start taking steps to make the plan come to live.
It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out, because clarity happens with each step you take.
Success doesn’t come by just planning, it comes from taking planned actions and by being flexible enough to adjust the plan as you learn on the way.
This week, make sure you take a step in the direction of that thing that you have always wanted to do.
Take a step no matter how seemingly little it is.
And no, you don’t need money first to start anything.
Leave the money part out if you don’t have it yet and do everything else.
Happy New Week Queens, take audacious steps this week.
Remember, baby steps leads to giant strides.
